You will help maintain and improve core batch processing systems on a mainframe (z/OS).

• Write and fix COBOL, JCL and CICS programs.
• Write DB2 SQL and handle VSAM files.
• Fix job failures and support scheduling and month-end work.

• 6+ years of experience.
• A work authorization that matches the line under "Who can apply" below.
• Able to work onsite in Greenville, SC (Onsite 5d).
• Open to a 12+ month contract, on W2 or C2C.

The project

Project: Maintenance and enhancement of core batch processing systems on z/OS.

Duties

• Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, and CICS programs supporting nightly batch cycles
• Write and optimize DB2 SQL, stored procedures, and VSAM file handling
• Debug abends using SDSF, Abend-AID, and Xpediter in test and production regions
• Support file transfers, CA7/Control-M scheduling, and month-end processing
• Document technical specs and support bridges to Java and microservices
